Lotus 49 Part 1

1967 Lotus 49 - USGP Jim Clark Win
Manufacturer: Ebbro
Information: Plastic
Paint: Tamiya Lacquer / Tamiya Acrylics / Krylon / Finishers / Alclad
Aftermarket Parts: Resin Bolt Heads / Insect Pin / RB Motion Bolt Heads / MFH Brown Tube /  MFH Black Wire

I decided to build the Lotus 49 while watching the 24Hrs of Lemans.
My goal was to complete the model by end of day Sunday.
It was going to be build out of box but that quickly changed after deciding to add resin bolt heads to the transmission and engine.
All Chrome was stripped with Easy Off oven cleaner and Alclad Polished Aluminum applied over Tamiya Black Lacquer.

I decided to build a cover for the gear shift to add some depth.

I purchased this blue mat at a craft store and its sticky.
This works great to hold parts while you work on them and catches the small bolt heads if you drop them while working with them.
